Adventures for Autism

The Kelberman Center will host its inaugural Adventures for Autism fundraiser on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Russell Park in Ilion.  Filled with healthy activities and entertainment, this event creates a wonderful opportunity for families to join together to raise funds and awareness for those affected with an autism spectrum disorder.

Read below to see the schedule for the day of the event:

10:00 am:  Biker registration and check-in

10:30 am: Course and safety meeting for mountain bike racers.  A friendly reminder that the course is designed for experienced mountain bikers.

11:00 am: Five-mile mountain bike race begins.

12:00 noon: Registration for the autism awareness hike.

12:00 noon to 4:00 pm: Food, activities, games, entertainment, and chance auction.  Live music provided by Underground Season.

1:00 pm: One-mile hike begins.  This peaceful nature walk consists of wide trails throughout Russell Park and is geared towards all members of the family.

2:00 pm: Entertainment provided by illusionist Leon Etienne.

3:00 pm: Chance auction results are revealed.

Online pre-registration is only available for the mountain bike race whereas registration for the hike takes place the day of the event. There is no registration fee for the hike but donations are appreciated.

Online pre-registration for the bike event will end Tuesday, August 3.  Registration will re-open the morning of the event (Please find the registration table).  A $25 registration fee is required.
