Hamilton college students involved in the organization HAAND (Hamilton Advocates for Autism and Neurodiversity) volunteer their Saturday mornings to create activities and opportunities for social interaction on the Hamilton College campus. The program runs every Saturday morning for four weeks September 16th- October 7th from 10am-1pm. During this time, participants are assigned a volunteer “buddy” that they attend all activities with and are encouraged to interact with peers in activities. The cost of the program is $10.00 per week and participants are asked to bring their own lunch. While the program is primarily run by Hamilton College student volunteers, there is a Kelberman Center staff member assigned to oversee the program and help redirect behaviors when necessary. Interested Participants need an up to date Recreation application on file, and need to function at a 3:1:1 ratio with no 1:1 aide. Interested participants who are already working with a Kelberman Center Community Habilitation staff may utilize their Kelberman Center staff and participate in the program with them, free of charge.
To register please contact Jessica at email@example.com or call 315-797-6241.
If you are interested in enrollment for Respite, Community Habilitation or general Recreation please contact Madison Zalocha at 315-725-6738.
