Waiver Intensive Behavior Services
Intensive Behavioral Services (IBS) at the Kelberman Center is a program designed for individuals with ASD and related developmental disorders who exhibit such severe behaviors that they are at risk of being placed in a more restrictive residential placement, including hospitals and psychiatric placements. The program provides behavior assessments, intervention development, and training for individuals and caregivers to maintain stability within the family home. Intensive Behavioral Services typically last for six months and are paid for through the Medicaid Waiver.
The Kelberman Center is the only IBS provider in the immediate Central New York area. We offer the expertise of PhD level psychologists and behavior specialists within long-standing experience working with individuals with autism and related developmental disorders.
