Kelberman Teams with Utica Comets to Provide Sensory Bags at Games

The Utica Comets have teamed with Kelberman for an exciting opportunity to benefit our community! Kelberman will now be sponsoring sensory friendly bags for spectators in need at all Utica Comet's Games. Bags will include noise cancelling headphones and other sensory objects such as fidget spinners for fans to use throughout the game.  These bags will be available for fan use at the games by speaking with Utica Comets staff at the Fan Zone.

Bethany Wendt, Director of Community Relations at Kelberman, commented, “Kelberman is elated to provide this support to people, families and caregivers in attendance at Utica Comets games.  Helping to create a sensory friendly environment at a local sporting event is huge. Having the Utica Comets recognize the importance of the needs of people with Autism and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in our community is equally as huge!  Thank you for sharing Kelberman’s vision for inclusion for all in our community.”

According to Adam Pawlick, Vice President of The Utica Comets, “The Utica Comets are very excited to partner with Kelberman in offering our fans the option of a sensory bag at all Comets home games. We hope that these bags can allow individuals and families with sensory sensitivities to feel safe and included in taking in a Comets game at the Adirondack Bank Center. We love the game of hockey and we want everyone to be able to experience it.”
