In December, the Kelberman Center launched a new partnership with the Vernon Public Library to present literature-inspired sensory projects at the library.
About the partnership, Terri Fincher, Director of the Vernon Library says, “It was a HUGE success! We are very pleased with the response that we have received – this is what the library is for, bringing the community together. I was so happy to see all the children having so much fun and laughing! That’s what we are all about at the library!”
At each program, children listen to a story and then take part in a hands-on sensory project related to the story they just heard. The program is open to all members of the community but may be most suitable for children ages 3-12.
The program is scheduled to take place on the last Wednesday of each month, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. The next event will be on March 30.
